Monitoring clipping volume can be an important factor to help you make management decisions about nitrogen and PGRs. This clipping volume tracker spreadsheet is easy to use, and will estimate the amount of nitrogen you are removing when you mow. After entering the size of your putting greens, you only need to enter the liters of clippings you get from each green (or a green) every time you mow. The spreadsheet then displays your daily and 7-day average clipping volume, and estimates the N removal. Your annual N fertilizer input should be roughly equal to your annual N removal.
